Ashok Kumar Shrestha, born and raised in Banepa 10 Janagal, Kavre, Nepal, has earned three degrees of Masters in Land Administration, Geography and Geo-Informatics
Currently working as a Survey Officer in Survey Department under Ministry of Land Management Cooperative and Poverty Alleviation, Nepal Government. Though he is in Government service, but the man passionate in Martial Arts, is the country representative and president of Nepal Kyokushin Seishin Kaikan Karate Association (WKKO-NEPAL) since 2012, affiliated to World Kyokushin Kai Karate Organization, Japan. Mr. Ashok is 6th Dan Black Belt from WKKO-JAPAN and now also working as a VICE PRESIDENT in World Committee, WKKO-JAPAN.

He started his journey in Martial Arts as a trainee back in 1989 in Kyokushin Karate style and received 1st Dan Black Belt in 1996. Then since 1996 he started working as an instructor and by 1997, he is also Refereeing.

Mr. Ashok has also participated in number of District, Regional and National level Championships and has earned various medals and awards. He has also been the integral part of national and international seminars. He is the Gold Medalist of “All Nepal National Weight Category Fullcontact Karate Tournament-1996” (50KG) in Kathmandu, Nepal. Gold Medalist of “Kavre District Open Kyokushin Karate Tournament 1997” in Kavre, Nepal. Silver Medalist of “TUBORG CUP All Nepal National Kyokushin Karate Tournament-1997” in Kavre, Nepal. Special Awardee of “4th World Butoku Sai and 50th Japan Butoku Sai 2012”, Kyoto, Japan.

As the part of international awards and recognition, He is the recipient of Gold Award title called “Senior Master of the Year 2019”in 6th Swiss Hall of Honor by International Martial Arts Association, Switzerland. He is also the awardee of “STAR-2020” by World Book of Records, UK, 2020.
Other than these he has organized various National and international seminars and tournaments like 1st Asia Cup-2020, Full–Contact Karate Tournament and Indo-Nepal Open Full Contact Karate Tournament-2019.
